ANNOUNCEMENT

Announcement is a messages in the public interest disseminated by the media without charge, with the objective of raising awareness, changing public attitudes and behaviour towards a social issue. Or an announcement is a public statement giving people information or news. It is often in a form of card or newspaper item. The purpose of an announcement is to give a formal written notice of certain events.

Announcement text use simple present tense or simple future tense and this text is not wear a connector.

 Characteristic of Announcement

Use simple present tense or simple future tense often enticement. 

1. Simple Present Tense

    = S (I, You, We, They) + V1+ O

2. Simple Future tense

    = S + shall/will + be + ….

Example of Announcement:

We are announcing today that we are bringing the California
Milestone and evergreen brands even closer together. Effective
as of December 5, 2008, our official name will be:
Green Miles West
The substitution of “West” in our name – replacing
“California” – is the result of an agreement we reached
with the California Gardening Association, following the
protest over the original use of “California” in our name.
We hope this does not create any confusion among our
loyal consumers. While this represents a change
from our initial name introduction, it does not change
the quality of products we offer to our company.
